Person injured after being hit by truck in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department said a person was taken to the hospital Saturday after being struck by a truck.

HPD said that around 7 p.m., officers responded to a crash on Memorial Parkway where a truck struck a person.

The department said the person suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The person was transported to Huntsville Hospital.

HPD said officers continue to investigate and are searching for the truck, which was last seen heading westbound on University Drive.
