Pep Guardiola revealed that the Manchester City striker, Unit Haaland, will be released until seven weeks after leaving Bournemouth on crutches on Sunday.
Haaland was spotted on crutches and carrying a protective boot after drinking the city’s 2-1 victory in Vitality Stadium.
City said the Norwegian star would miss the majority of the rest of the season with ankle injury.
And Guardiola confirmed that it would be without its star leader for “five to seven weeks”.
If the 24 -year -old was missing the following seven weeks, he could miss a potential FA Cup final but return on the last day of the Premier League campaign and be in good shape for the club World Cup.
“Doctors told me that Erling Haaland will be released between five and seven weeks,” Guardiola said on Tuesday.

“I hope that at the end of the season and the World Cup, it will be ready.”

City Face Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-final in Wembley the last weekend in April. The final should take place on May 17, with the last day of the Premier League season after the following week.
