Willem Dafoe may be a Hollywood mainstay, but even he’s not immune to getting sucked into a stranger’s TikTok shoot.
Content creator Feroz Zadran, who posts under the name @hikhann_, approached the “Nosferatu” actor for a man-on-the-street style interview that went viral this week.
In the video, he pulls Dafoe off the street in New York to complete his outfit and asks him, “What do you do for a living?” »
“I’m an actor,” replies the star, who is bundled up against the New York cold in a brown leather jacket, scarf, knit cap and gloves.
Zadran, on TikTok, then asks Dafoe his name and what he likes about his job.
“It’s always different. Nothing is ever the same,” replies the always affable “Spider-Man” star, who has more than 150 screen credits to his name.

Pressed to share “advice” for those trying to make it in the entertainment world, the four-time Oscar nominee hesitates.
“I don’t give advice,” he says, smiling. “Everyone must find their own way.”
In the comments section, fans found it hard to believe that Zadran doesn’t recognize Dafoe and his distinctive look.
“Not knowing Willem Dafoe is a crime,” one viewer wrote.
“I hope this guy succeeds. he seems like a humble guy,” another person joked.
While some wondered if the video was planned in advance, Dafoe’s polite but rushed demeanor led others to conclude that it was a spontaneous encounter.
“I thought this was scripted but he looks really uncomfortable lmaooo,” someone posted.
“Bro, just let him enjoy his ride,” another shared.
The “Platoon” actor previously opened up about the moment he realized he was a particularly recognizable celebrity during a December 2023 interview on NBC’s “Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist.”

When he saw a “rough” group staring at him on the subway one day, he feared something unsavory was going to happen – before things took a turn.
“They looked pretty mean and they were looking at each other, and then I heard one say, ‘Yeah, that must be him. Nobody looks like that bastard,” Dafoe recalled. “That’s when I knew.”
