A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Chula Vista on Thursday evening, the authorities announced.
The collision occurred around 9 p.m. when a 72 -year -old woman leading a silver toyota rav4 to the south on the fourth avenue near Naples Street struck a male pedestrian, according to the Chula Vista police service.
Police said the first stakeholders had attempted safeguarding measures on the victim before taking him to the hospital, where he died shortly after arriving. His name was not immediately released.
The driver was cooperated with the investigation, police said. Alcohol and drugs were not considered factors in the accident.
