Pedestrian dies after being hit by a car near SeaWorld San Diego

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle near SeaWorld San Diego Tuesday evening, San Diego police said.

The man was seen dancing in the eastbound lane of Sea World Drive, east of West Mission Bay Drive, shortly before 9 p.m., police said. A driver of a Honda Fit struck the person shortly after.

The impact sent the pedestrian into another lane where he was then struck by a driver of a Toyota Camry, police said. After the collision, a driver of a minivan struck the rear of the Camry.

The pedestrian died before he could be transported to hospital.

Police said driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs was not a factor in the collision, which remains under investigation. No further information has been released.
