PEARL JAM cancels two more concerts due to illness

PEARL JAM has canceled its previously announced concerts in Berlin, scheduled for next week. The latest cancellation comes just two days after the band canceled their June 29 show in London due to illness within the group.

Earlier today (Sunday, June 30), the Seattle rockers released the following statement via social media: “We are sorry to announce that the PEARL JAM The concerts scheduled for Tuesday, July 2 and Wednesday, July 3 in Berlin are canceled. Despite everyone’s best efforts, the band has not yet fully recovered.

“We are aware of the impact of this decision. We are deeply aware that so many people spend their time, money and emotional energy to get tickets and come see the band. It is heartbreaking to have to disappoint you. We are also grateful to the many people who work hard to make these shows happen.

“Please be assured that we never take these decisions lightly and we are trying to do everything we can to be there for you all. We would have liked a rescheduling to be possible for this leg of the tour and hope to return to Berlin soon.

“Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

“Thank you for your continued understanding and support, it means the world.”

PEARL JAM was to perform at the Waldbühne in Berlin.

The group is currently scheduled to return to the stage on July 6 in Barcelona.

Singer Eddie Vedder suffered from vocal problems for PEARL JAMthe June 25 concert at Manchester Co-op Live after contracting an illness following the band’s concert in Dublin.

Earlier this week, Védard released a surprise solo cover of the song ENGLISH TIME‘s “Save it for later” as part of the new season of Special effects to show “The Bear”.

PEARL JAM continues his tour in support of his twelfth studio album, “Black matter”released in April via Monkeywrench Discs/The records of the Republic.
