PBS closes his diversity office on equity and inclusion (DEI) after President Trump published last month Distribute the initiatives of the workplace.
“In order to ensure that we are in accordance with the decree of the president in terms of diversity, equity and inclusion, we have closed our office Dei,” the public broadcaster said in a press release shared with NPR by E- Mail.
“The staff members who served in this office leave PBS. We will continue to join our mission and values. PBS will continue to reflect all of America and will remain a welcoming place for everyone.”
A service note from the president and chief executive officer of PBS, Paula Kerger, who was shared with NPR, said that on the advice of the PBS legal advice, the office ofi was closed and the employees of Dei Gina Leow and Cecilia Loving leave PBS.
