Paul Pierce is a man of speech.
The legend of the NBA and the personality of FS1 went on Thursday when he told a one hour walk to work in a bathrobe after his pre-match prediction of the Celtics took match 2 on the Knicks failed to materialize.
“Welcome to this trip, let’s go,” said Pierce, 47, in an Instagram story while he was starting the 20.2 -thousand’s eight -hour trip to Los Angeles.
Pierce, who started his 19-year career at the NBA in Boston in 1998, then deplored the way the Celtics for having put it in this position after the Knicks rallied from behind to win 91-90 Wednesday, entering an advance in the 2-0 series in the semi-finals of the Eastern conference.

Pierce, who seemed to wear shoes for Thursday’s trek, also seized the heat around what he estimated four miles in the walk.
“I’m here sweating. Dude, I need to take a break in a minute,” he said in an Instagram story. “… I think I had still 16 miles, I have been reaching for about an hour and a half.”
The defending champion Celtics is now two games from the elimination while the series spends New York from Saturday with match 3.
Pierce, a former draft choice in the first round with the Celtics, played 15 seasons in Boston, where he won a championship in 2008 and was appointed MVP of finals.
He was exchanged in Nets in 2013 before closing his career with Wizards and Clippers.
Pierce retired in 2017 and pivoted the broadcast.
It is part of the FS1 network since 2024.
