The favor that Paul Heyman owes to CM Punk was revealed during the April 4 episode of this evening of WWE Smackdown in Chicago.
Punk is scheduled for a three -hand match against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in Wrestlemania 41 during the main event of the evening on April 19.
To return to November, Punk agreed to join the OG Bloodline team from Roman Reigns for the Wargames match at the Survivor series – with the warning who, the wise man of Reigns, Paul Heyman, owed a favor.
In recent weeks, this favor has been the subject of many discussions, assuming that it will have a great effect on the punk vs reigns vs rollins.
In a segment in the ring at the end of Smackdown tonight with the three participants and Heyman, Punk revealed what was the favor.
Punk told the story many years ago when he was OVW and Heyman was a great defender at the same time that there was not many WWE who believed in him.
At that time, Heyman told Punk that if they were main Wrestlemania events, Heyman would be in his corner.
Punk has brought this back and said that the favor is exactly that – Heyman accompanying Punk in the ring and being in his corner of Wrestlemania instead of Reigns.
Reigns initially laughed at this, thinking that Heyman would simply say no, but that’s not what happened.
When Reigns heated himself and ordered Heyman to say no to Punk, an emotional heyman said:
“No my tribal chief, I can’t do that.”
Consequently, Heyman essentially promised his allegiance to Punk for Wrestlemania.
Reigns was then physically confronted Heyman, leading to Punk by giving Reigns a GTS while Rollins watched the chaos taking place in front of him.
