After months of speculation, the draft of the NFL 2025 is almost there.
For Mike Truebel and Eliot Wolf, it will be an extremely important part of the process of reconstruction of patriots. After another season of 4 wins, the team still lacks depth and first -rate perspectives to transform this franchise into a candidate into a playoff series.
This is where this project could enter.
Although this year’s class is lacking in elite talent, it is deep with the potential depth of the starter. If the patriots can leave with several runners, on both sides of the ball, this would greatly contribute to returning to the photo of the playoffs.
Currently, the best needs of the patriots are clear. The team must better protect Drake Maye after authorizing 52 bags last season. It was the sixth best in the history of the franchise – and that cannot happen again. In our latest simulation project, we aspire the Patriots’ offensive line and have added depth to other positions of need.
Here is a look:
First round, choose 4:
Will Campbell, LSU, OT, 6-6, 319
It is obvious. The patriots have not had a stable game in the left tackle since 2021. Their greatest need is the left tackle. Campbell is the best left tackle of this project. From three years old, he is an elite athlete. This is why some people believe that Campbell is an instant starter in Tackle despite a shorter scale. Captain twice, he also has the qualities of leadership that Truebel covetes. Campbell is the best offensive line prospect this year. Patriots have to protect Drake Maye better than last season. Campbell will be an upgrade.
Second round, choose 38:
Tyler Booker, Alabama, OG, 6-4, 321 pounds
The patriots should not stop upgrading their left tackle position. The team also lacks a starter experienced in the left guard because the team wants Cole Strange to remain in the center. Booker is one of the best left guards in this project. He started 26 games there in Alabama. He presents himself as an instant starter and will create a dangerous duo with Campbell. The first All-American and Captain team also has exceptional leadership qualities. Booker would be another way to upgrade the patriots’ offensive line.
Third round, choose 69:
Oluwafemi Oldojo, UCLA, Edge, 6-3, 259 pounds
It is an impressive draft class for defensive line players. The patriots should leave with at least one projected starter. Oladejo could be this player. He has experience by playing the secondary but stood out as a rusher on board at the UCLA. Oladejo is a physical and violent rusher, which is part of the defensive style of Trobel. He led UCLA in bags with 4.5 last year. He also had 57 plated, 13.5 for loss and two pass ruptures. Wolf went to his professional day and experienced a pre-adult visit with the Patriots.
Third round, choose 77:
Jacob Parrish, Kansas State, CB, 5-9, 191 pounds
The patriots could use the depth behind Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis and Marcus Jones. Parrish is half a 5 -foot sports corner 10 inches, which manages a dashboard of 4.35 40 yards. A 2 -year starter, he can play the slit and outside. Last year, he led the Kansas State with seven shortcomings, an interception and 50 plated. Parrish had four interceptions and nine pass ruptures the previous year. He made a pre-RĂ´ti visit with the patriots.
Fourth round, choose 106:
Ty Robinson, Nebraska, DT, 6-5, 288 pounds
This project is responsible for defensive line players and the patriots should add depth behind Milton Williams and Christian Barmore. Robinson adapts to the mold of what Mike Vrabel covets in defensive plasters. At 6 feet 5 inches and 288 pounds, it is a large athlete. Last year, he finished with seven bags, 37 plated, 12.5 for the loss and four passing deviations. Robinson has versatility to play on the edge and inside. In the special teams, he blocked a basket.
Fifth round, choose 144:
Brashard Smith, SMU, RB, 5-9, 194 pounds
Smith would give Patriots more depth of ball carrier and to a third potential advance of the future. He went to Miami as a receiver and played this position for three seasons. Smith was transferred to SMU last year and went to the ball carrier. He finished with 1,332 yards to go with 14 touchs. Smith also added 39 receptions for 327 yards and four affected. Smith is also an out -of -game return.
Fifth round, choose 171:
Jalen Travis, Iowa State, OT, 6-7, 339 pounds
The patriots should double in the tackle in this project. Travis is an intriguing development perspective which measures 6 feet 8 inches and weighs 338 pounds. It has a length of arm of 34 7/8 inches. Travis began his collegial career in Princeton where he started in the right and left tackle. He was transferred to Iowa State and started 11 games in the left tackle last season. Travis is a good athlete and projects a swing tackle in the NFL.
Seventh round, choose 220:
Eli Cox, Caroline du Nord, IOL, 6-5, 306 pounds
Patriots should add depth to their central position. Cox has started 35 games there for Kentucky in the last three seasons. He also has versatility, starting 12 games on the right. He has won the honors of the dry in the last two seasons as a center. Cox also has more character traits as a captain twice. As an athlete, it corresponds to the mold of what Josh McDaniels has historically sought in an interior offensive line.
Seventh round, choose 238:
Tyler Loop, Arizona, K, 5-11, 191 pounds
Loop has one of the biggest legs among the boots of this project. Last season, he set an Arizona school record with a basket of 62 yards. He made 83.8% of his goals in the field (67 out of 80) during his collegial career. Last year, Loop made 78.3% (18 out of 23) of his attempts at the field. He also excels at kicks off. Last year, 53 of his 56 attempts landed for the affected. Loop also has experience as a bettor.
