Patrick Mahomes was seen attending the funeral of his grandfather in Texas on Monday after his death at the age of 78 last week.
Randy Mahomes, the father of Patrick’s mother, Randi, died on Friday after fighting an unknown disease in recent months.
His death occurred only after Patrick, 29, and the defeat of the Super Bowl of the Chiefs of Kansas City against the Eagles of Philadelphia on February 9.
The Chiefing Quarterrière made the trip to Henderson, Texas on Monday for the funeral of Randy, where he was seen alongside young brother Jackson, 24.
Patrick, who has undergone a nightmare performance in the defeat of Kansas City to the Super Bowl Lix, could be seen bearing a black polo shirt with an attached red rose and black sneakers, while Jackson opted for a gray suit, a white shirt and Marine shoes.
Randy died five days after Kansas City’s overwhelming defeat against Philadelphia, Patrick’s mother announcing that he had died.

“Difficult to find the words to hold my father’s hand as he goes to paradise,” wrote Randi Mahomes alongside a series of photos of his father.
“I know he’s in a better place. I love you dad. Bravo, good servant ”.
Randi had spoke several times on his father’s social networks and his poor health, but had never precisely revealed the problem he suffered before his death. Randy was 78 years old on January 6.
Before the Super Bowl in New Orleans, the mother of the Chiefing Quarterrier said that her father was “hung” to see Patrick play in the game of the centerpiece of football.
“I know that it has mean a lot for him (that Patrick is in another Super Bowl). And I think he clings because he wants to see his grandson do an incredible thing or let him play, “she told people.
“I mean, he must be such a proud, so proud grandfather. And my mother was very proud and her other grandparents.
The mother of Mahomas added that she had held the quarter of the chiefs on the health of her grandfather, but tried not to “ disturb ” before the Super Bowl against the Eagles.

Mahomes was quick to repel the blame after the defeat on Sunday, writing to the fans of the chefs in an article on X: “I dropped you today. I will always continue to work and try to learn and be better for that.
He also added his post-match press conference: “I cannot return the ball when it does not take place in us. I have to learn and improve myself.
“Whenever you lose the Super Bowl, it’s the worst feeling. He will stay with you for the rest of your career. It hurt more than victories do not feel good. It will hurt for a while, but how can you answer it.
