Pat McAfee returns to the ring.
WWE gave the color commentator time to express his grievances after being suffocated by Gunther while defending Michael Cole on The Raw after Mania last week in this week of this week of this week Monday evening gross. He used this time to talk about his success as a diffuser and how it may have led to the oblivion of who he was and where he came from.
He’s a fighter, damn it.
He is also a faithful guy who will go up or die for those who are close to him, it is Cole. So, he wants to fight Gunther for everything that has happened between the three. Smackdown general manager Nick Aldis, filling the director general of Raw Adam Pearce, was out to have an impromptu meeting on this subject and found a solution.
Instead of a fight, McAfee may have a sanctioned match with Gunther in a WWE ring during the next Backlash Premium live event scheduled for Saturday May 10, 2025, in St. Louis.
