Paris Hilton celebrates Britney Spears in Time 100 trial

After courageously making her voice heard this summer in her trusteeship record, Britney Spears landed a spot on the 2021 Time 100 Most Influential People list.

Spears’ longtime friend Paris Hilton paid tribute to the pop star, 39, with a personal essay published Wednesday on resilience and the fan-led #FreeBritney movement.

“When most people think of Britney Spears, they think of Superstar Britney. She’s iconic. A legend. One of the most influential artists in pop music history,” Hilton, 40, wrote.

“When I think of Britney Spears, I see the sweetest soul. A mother. A friend. A fighter. A young woman who grew up in the tabloid culture of the 2000s, when the paparazzi machine was accepted, ruthless and cruel.

The “Simple Life” alum noted that as the world watched Spears break records with her many hits, including “Toxic” and “… Baby One More Time”, the Grammy winner was dealing privately. ” over a decade of trauma and abuse from his guardianship, ”which has controlled his personal affairs and money since February 2008.

“In 2021, #FreeBritney battle cries roared louder than ever from its global network of dedicated fans and concerned audiences. Our hearts broke when Britney spoke out about her pain, ”Hilton continued, referring to Spears’ legal testimony in June and July in which she tearfully pleaded for the legal arrangement to finally end.

“Despite the darkness that has surrounded her life, Britney embodies joy and shares the light of her beautiful heart, the superstar forever,” continued the hotel heiress. “So we support her and support her as she turns pain into purpose, her unwavering spirit stronger than ever.”

Recently, Spears had a lot to celebrate. Her ex-father, Jamie Spears, filed a petition on Sept. 7 to end her guardianship, a move the singer’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, called a “massive legal victory.”

The presiding judge has yet to approve or deny the request.

Britney also got engaged to her nearly five-year-old boyfriend Sam Asghari on Sunday after she told court in June that she wanted to get married and have more children.

She already shares sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
