A man’s body has been found with burns and other injuries in a local park.

The grim discovery was made at Glennon Park, off Pappas Way, in Nerang, a Gold Coast suburb, at around 6.30am on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the scene and found the body of the man, who suffered from multiple injuries.

Police said the body had been burned and believed the man had been moved to the park after being killed elsewhere, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

Queensland Police officers have established a crime scene in the area and are currently investigating the man’s death.

The man has not been identified.

Earlier, police were seen setting up a tent next to a junior rugby league as detectives scoured the crime scene for evidence.

Officers were also seen searching the bushes behind the field.

Anyone who noticed suspicious behavior or has information about the incident was asked to contact police.
