Unclafted free agents are eligible players in the recovery who were not selected in the draft of Sept Rounds in April. As soon as the project ends, these players essentially become free agents and are free to sign whatever the team they choose and can conclude an agreement. Panthers currently have seven players on the list that started their careers as UDFAS. These are: the Large Receiver Adam Thielen (who technically started as a test player and signed a UDFA contract after the minicamp recruit with the Vikings in 2013), the Ballon Rico Dowdle ball carrier which was signed by the Cowboys in 2020, the defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton who signed with the chefs in 2020, Luebacker Christian Rozeboom Udfas, longnapper JJ Jansen, receiver Jalen Coker and Security Demani Richardson. The seven were beginners or major contributors to their respective teams.
