With two Saturday evening live legends gathered to give them the parody treatment this weekend, Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem shared their reactions.
Following host Amy Poehler and special guest Tina Fey’s cold-open impressions of the two men, they have since responded to the skit, with one making light of Chicago’s current militarization and the other blaming Democrats for the government shutdown.
“Sec_Noem, should we recreate this image in Chicago? I love Amy Poehler!” Attorney General Bondi wrote on X, sharing a screenshot of the comedians posing, with Fey’s Noem carrying an assault rifle.
DHS Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin commented on the sketch in a statement to Weekly Entertainment. “SNL It’s absolutely true: we must put an end to the paralysis of the Democrats!” she said.
Saturday’s cold open came after testimony took place on Capitol Hill last week, with the former Sunshine State AG repeatedly pushing back against Democratic senators over ICE assaults on citizens and U.S. troops in U.S. cities, Jeffrey Epstein, the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey and the current shutdown. Or, as Poehler said in the opening, “the DOJ has many operations going on, and we’re moving very quickly in several directions at once, like Kash Patel’s eyes.”
In one of the quickest, leanest cold opens of many SNL, Noem de Fey exclaimed, after tossing her machine gun aside, “I’m the rarest type of person in Washington DC, a brunette that Donald Trump listens to.” »
Returning to Noem’s memoir referencing the dog killing that likely saw the former South Dakota governor removed from Trump’s vice-presidential shortlist last year, tonight’s skit saw Fey declare that the idea why Democrats want the shutdown “makes me laugh more than the end of last year.” Old crier. …Dogs don’t get shot. The heroes shoot at them.
