Paige VanZant shares four-word reaction to reversal and controversial OnlyFans fight decision with Elle Brooke

Paige VanZant’s long wait for a victory continued Saturday night.

The former UFC star hasn’t tasted victory in any sport since 2019, but she was a heavy favorite against adult film star-turned-boxer Elle Brooke at Misfits 15 on Saturday night.

VanZant looked like the more accomplished fighter early on in her boxing debut, as she used a lot of moves, while her opponent plodded forward in hopes of landing a big punch.

Towards the end of the first round, ’12 Gauge’ began to hold her feet and had to pay the price when Brooke hit her with a vicious right hook to score a shocking knockdown.

VanZant quickly got back to her feet and returned to her original game plan, but Brooke still remained in the four-round crossover clash.

At the end of the fight, one official gave Brooke the score 48-46, a second judge gave VanZant 48-46, and the third judge gave it 47-47 to make the match a majority draw.

VanZant has since released a four-word statement on her Instagram account suggesting she will fight Brooke again in London later this year.

It said: “Rematch August O2 Arena”.

The 30-year-old had a little more to say during her post-fight interview as she praised Brooke, who had five boxing bouts against other influencers before taking on the MMA star.

VanZant said: “I knew how difficult it was. I took the fight for a reason.”

“I was excited. I watched his past fights. I knew it would be hard.

“It is what it is. This sets up a perfect rematch. I signed a multi-fight contract for a reason. It looks like we’re going to do it one more time.”

VanZant fought Rose Namajunas, Michelle Waterson and a group of other top fighters during her 8-5 MMA career.

In 2020, the popular American decided to leave the UFC in search of bigger paydays before signing a three-fight contract worth $1.2 million with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

VanZant has had two bare-knuckle fights, but has not fought since her loss to Rachael Ostovich in July 2021, as she makes even more money elsewhere.

In 2022, VanZant, like Brooke, began selling exclusive content on OnlyFans and made more money in one day than in his nine UFC fights combined.

Brooke was supposed to be her first win in five years, but training partner Ebanie Bridges proved she was better than many people gave her credit for.

Maybe she’ll go one step further by beating VanZant in the rematch, or maybe the former UFC fighter will finally get the wins she’s been looking for for years.

Whatever happens, influential boxing fans will be excited to see them trade blows again.
