Paige Desorbo talks about breaks, writing a book, “Summer House” and more

Barely three months, Paige Desorbo has already had a busy year. THE Summer house Star started in January on Tour for Giggly squadThe podcast which she co-animators alongside Hannah Berner, where they sold places like Radio City Music Hall. Come the fashion week, she seated in the front row at Christian Siriano and Michael Kors. At the beginning of March, Desorbo joined Berner on the red carpet of the Oscars, interviewing stars like Amy Poehler and Hailey Bieber. In mid-April, his first book (Cowritten with Berner) comes out. DESORBO entered the Deal Book by thinking that BERNER and BERNER would use a GHOSTWRITER, but it finally resisted a shared DOC Google and the modifications of BERNER’s mother. “It was a very humiliating experience … but it was so fun,” says Desorbo.

The world was presented for the first time to Desorbo on Summer houseAs a daughter of an Italian conservative family in New York State. But today, it is a familiar name in its own right, known as much for its style and humor as its ability to take the blows during a meeting. The show is where Desorbo and Berner first won the name Giggly Squad. A canton invented it in a moment of frustration, but friends transformed a platform to unpack pop culture, their personal life, their meetings, their mental health and everything else. Today, the term represents a community of girls of girls who do not take anything too seriously. She jokes saying that she and Berner started a cult, but in truth, she considers her listeners as a huge source of support. “The girls will always say that I and Hannah have helped them to go through certain moments of their lives, but really, they have helped us so many times,” says desorbo.

For his next project, Desorbo joins forces with Tresemmé during the launch of their Gloss Lamellaire collection. Desorbo, with its brilliant signature wicks and penchant to cut the bangs just before a Summer house Meeting, calls working with the brand “a dream come true”. To celebrate, she said Instruction Everything about his hair care routine, his greatest moments “I did” and his advice for the new single.

Since we are here to talk about hair, I would like you to tell me about your current hair routine.

I feel like I was one of the last people in New York … I have never tied my hair. My mom would not even let me get the culmination of pink for breast cancer in high school. He is stuck with me – I’m quite cold with my hair routine. I want to have shiny hair. This is most of my DMS: “How do you get your hair so shiny?” I love a hair mask. I love a complete girl shower. I love an oil. I love a creepy oil. I love an oil and a smooth rear bread.

I’m going to cut it when. Most of the time I cut my hair was the morning of Summer house Meetings, which is psychotic, but you must be in a psychotic state. It is actually very equally.

Do you have preparation rituals?

I must be in an oversized T-shirt to feel that my ready-to-use process is good. And I do the hair first, then makeup, which, I think, is important.

If you spend a bad day of hair, or just a day of leave in general, how do you get this funk?

I had a lot of mediums tell me that if I ever have a bad day, I should take a shower. So I’m going to always take a complete girl shower, then do a hair treatment, like oil my hair or do a hair mask, then I have the impression that something in my life is assembled.

I know you had busy months. Did you have moments when you were, oh my God, I did it, or, a dream was realized?

When Hannah and I did Giggly teams on Radio City, I’m not a big crier, but I told Hannah that we had to go on stage before he filled. I needed to feel it before the first time we released, it was to make the show. And just when I went out on stage, I started to cry, which is not me. It was a great moment for the two of us.

Being on tour with Hannah for six months in a row has brought us closer. But we also realized that we do not share anything except hair products. This is the only thing she will call me and ask me: “Do you have a peupray?”

Are there any products that you presented to him, or Visa Versa?

I presented her hair oil because she likes: “How does everyone get smooth rolls?” And I’m like, sit down. We love hairspray, we always share Hairspray. And Tresemmé is one of the only companies that manufactures a marshal-fermer.

Have you had favorite celebrity interactions throughout the fashion week or the price season?

Hannah and I went to the show of Michael Kors, and Rachel Zegler was heading for his seat, and Hannah began to shout his name. I was just mortified. I was like, it is simply not the time or the place. And then we came across Rachel to the absence of a postmise of Vanity Fair, and Rachel said to me: “Hannah and I are friends, so it’s good that she shouted my name.” And then I was the asshole, but I did not know that Hannah knew her. It was a fun interaction.

Is it an auditor?

Yeah, she is a leg.

It’s so soft. Overall, what is your favorite thing in the community you have built with Giggly Squad?

Giggers’ reactions when I say something very intense or something that happens in my life – they are so welcoming and warm on this subject. I think it’s the best part. The girls will always say that me and Hannah helped them to go through certain moments of their lives, but really, they helped us so many times.

Have you had good entries with the listeners?

I see the stripes with Pilates all the time. And we don’t all want to be there, but we have to do it, so nobody really says anything to me. They will just say some jokes inside that the Giggers have, then move away. It’s so perfect.

Tell me a bit about the writing process of your book.

When Hannah and I received the email that we were going to write a book, I thought it will be so easy. Because everything Well done Nobody I know who wrote a book, they say to themselves: “You get a screenwriter, and you talk to them, then they gathered it well.” I just supposed that we would get a screenwriter. And then Simon and Schuster It was like, absolutely not. This is a comedy book, and it must really be in your guys’ voice. I panicked.

Hannah and I love a shared google doc. I wrote things, then Hannah’s mother, who was director, would help us to edit. All my changes were like, Paige, we don’t know what you’re talking about. Try a punctuation once. It was a very humiliating experience, and I realized that I really did not know the punctuation. But it was so fun.

The new season of Summer House is right now-is there something happening behind the scenes that viewers might not expect?

I would like them to break the fourth wall much more. One thing that people do not realize is the number of people at home. There is an entire basement in which we are never allowed, which is there only all monitors, cameras and producers. Some of our cameras and sound operators have been with us since the first season. We have looked at their lives also progress. We watched them get married and have children, and they brought their children to the house. There are so many other friendships on Summer house that people never even knew it. The people who filmed the engagement of Kyle and Amanda were specifically chosen to film it because they had met them in the first season. We really know them so well. And that’s why they make us say what they want.

What’s it to look at you in return?

You know when you hear your own voice on a voicemail and you are like, how does someone speak to me? This time it is ten. It is like Instagram stories that you cannot delete. So I send the episode to my mom, and I make her look at her first, and I say, let me know if there is something that I should be posted. I love myself, but not so much.

I imagine that one of the worst parties to be a public figure is to hear the opinions of people about you. How do you manage all this noise?

It’s really difficult sometimes, I think to start Summer house At 25 and now 32, I take care of it in a very different way. I am so grateful that this year, I was literally too busy. I used to read everything. I used to read each comment. I used to read each DM, and I let him go beyond my personality. The human brain is not made to hear people talking about it. So now, at 32, I think I have improved a lot with that, and I am honestly too busy to even read things. I am grateful. But also, as you get older, you become more confident, you are like, I don’t know you. It’s a crazy thing to say.

Do you have any advice to someone who is recently single or who is going through a big life change?

To go out. To go out. I am not a big break. I am not a big one, like, you have to lie down for a few days and listen to sad music. I’m immediately there. I said to myself immediately, “Are we going out?” And we were there. I just made a girl trip to Miami.
