Tampa, Florida – The Star of Uconn Paige Bueckers is trying to stick to his process.
She takes a step at a time, possession by possession.
She wants to kiss every last seconds of her university career, playing Pingpong with her teammates and chatting in the locker room to fight on the field.
But the reality of what is on the horizon is difficult to ignore.
Bueckers has only 40 minutes of play in Connecticut wires.
In less than two weeks, she expected to hear her name called the overall choice n ° 1 of the WNBA 2025 draft.
Sunday’s national championship match against South Carolina is its last chance to reduce the nets.
But Bueckers finds comfort knowing that she helped the Huskies put herself in position to even play in the last game of the season.
“Everything in life somehow taught me not to take things for granted,” said Bueckers on Saturday. “Being in the national championship match, it is extremely difficult to reach and extremely rewarding to be part.”

Bueckers is not at all worried about its lasting heritage.
The triple national player of the year All-American and 2021 has already established itself as one of the greatest players of all Uconn.
The debate on the question of whether the victory of a legitimate title still her career is not something that she cares about participating.

But it is undeniable that Bueckers, as a competitor, wants this victory.
And of course, coach Geno Auriemma also wants it for his senior star.
“Paige needs nothing to change her life to improve her life. She has a life that most people would dream of,” said Auriemma. “But for someone who has invested so much in the University of Connecticut, the community, the team, his teammates and loves the game so much, she deserves to be released as a national champion. But the same goes for a bunch of children in South Carolina who have done exactly the same.
“And it is the beauty of this one. Only one of them will be able to do it. ”
