Packers’ Jordan Love becomes NFL’s highest-paid QB with $200 million contract

The largest quarterback contract in NFL history was signed Friday.

Jordan Love has agreed to a four-year, $220 million contract extension with the Packers, making him the highest-paid quarterback in league history, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

He will also receive a $75 million signing bonus, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The 25-year-old was handed the gigantic contract despite having only played one season.

However, the emerging superstar threw for 4,159 passing yards and 32 touchdowns, leading Green Bay to the second round of the playoffs last year.

The signal-caller entered the league after a solid college career at Utah State University, where he ranks No. 1 in program history with 9,003 yards of total offense and also ranks first with 12 career 300-yard passing games.

His performances were eye-catching and the Packers drafted him with the 26th pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The deal comes the same day the Dolphins signed Tua Tagovailoa to a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension.
