Packers fan absolutely distraught by Jordan Morgan NFL draft pick

The Packers beefed up their offensive line Thursday night, but one team fan just couldn’t do it.

With the No. 25 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Packers selected offensive tackle Jordan Morgan from Arizona to help protect quarterback Jordan Love.

And even after earning All-Pac-12 honors and allowing just two sacks on 787 snaps in 2023, a Packers fan watching the draft live in Detroit was beside himself when the pick was announced.

After commissioner Roger Goodell announced the pick, the cameras on the ESPN feed panned to the fan, wearing a Love jersey and cheesehead while recording the selection on his phone.

The fan’s face said it all, looking completely stunned with a big gaping mouth as the fans around him literally pointed and laughed at his expense.

Apparently stunned by the selection, he lowered his head in disappointment.

“This particular cheesehead doesn’t seem excited,” Mike Greenberg said on the show.

It’s unclear exactly who the fan would have wanted the Packers to take at this spot, but he was clearly unhappy with the decision.

The Post’s Steve Serby projected the Packers would take an offensive tackle at No. 25 in his latest draft, although Amarius Mims was unavailable after being snagged at No. 18 by the Bengals.

The Packers fan didn’t share the same sentiment as others around the game, as current free agent and 10-year Packers offensive line veteran David Bakhtiari praised the selection.

Robert Griffin III wrote that Morgan is the ideal replacement for Bakhtiari.

“The Packers will be Packer but Jordan Morgan is the choice you make when you just lost the Great David Bakhtiari,” Griffin posted on X. “The Packers made the right choice, the smart choice and Jordan Love will thank them for it. Jordan Morgan is BIG, smart and talented. He will quickly become a starter.

Morgan struggled with injuries during his tenure with Arizona, but still started 37 games.
