Owner of Raddison Blu hotel in Ghaziabad dies by suicide: cops

New Delhi:
The owner of the Radisson Blu hotel in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad, was found dead at his east Delhi residence in the Commonwealth Games Village (CWG) on Saturday, officials said.
The deceased identified as Amit Jain was found hanged in his apartment, they said, adding that no suicide note was found on or near the body.
The police received the information about the suicide via a PCR call made to Mandawali police station.
A senior police officer said during the inquest that it was revealed that Mr Jain had come to his home at CWG village in the morning after having breakfast at his new home in Noida.
Mr. Jain planned to move to Noida with his family.
Along the way, he also dropped off his brother Karan at his office in Ghaziabad, she said, adding that he traveled to CWG alone. Mr Jain’s son, who had gone to CWG’s flat to collect some belongings with his driver, found him hanged. He was immediately transported to Max Patparganj where he was pronounced dead, she added.
No allegation of foul play has yet been made, police said, adding that further investigation is ongoing and investigative proceedings are underway.
