After the Memorial Day weekend, the Buffalo Bills are back inside a Bills player for the start of team activities organized volunteers (OTA).
Tuesday scored the first day of the OTA period and head coach Sean McDermott spoke to the media before training. Here are five things we have learned.
Attendance check
Although the OTA phase of the offseason is not compulsory, McDermott reported solid frequentation figures for the team. All members of the active list reported for the week, except RB James Cook.
“We stay in touch as you expect a player and a coach to do it. James will be there when he is ready to be here and we are moving forward,” said McDermott.
The Bills will rely on RBS Ty Johnson, the second year player Ray Davis and others in practice while Cook is absent.
Bosa to miss the ota with a calf injury
One of the additions of a bill for bills to his defense is to face an injury and will not train with the team this week. By Joey Bosa, who signed a one -year contract in March, will be sidelined with a calf injury.
McDermott explained that Bosa “fired a calf at the end of last week before the weekend of vacation while participating in inter-season training sessions in the establishment. Bosa will be absent for the “predictable spring” but the on -board rusher “should be good for the training camp”.
The head coach added that because the injury appeared so recently, the medical staff always collect information on the full calendar.
“Joey was off to a good start, so it’s unfortunate to see him go down,” added McDermott.
