OSU baseball’s final rainout against UC Irvine Corvallis Regional delayed until Monday

Oregon State dominated UC Irvine, 5-3, at Goss Stadium on Saturday to advance to the Corvallis regional final. The Beavers got big performances from Travis Bazzana, Dallas Macias and Jacob Kmatz that helped them get past the Anteaters in front of a home crowd of 4,224.

The Corvallis Beavers regional final against UC Irvine began at 6 p.m. Sunday but was suspended due to rain and will resume at 12:06 p.m. Monday.

OSU leads UC Irvine 6-4 and the game will resume in the bottom of the fourth inning on Monday.

Utagawa gave Wilson Weber a walk to put two on with no one out. Then, Elijah Hainline came to the plate and hit a three-run home run to bring the Beavers back into contention.

After another pitching change, Travis Bazzana ambushed freshman left-hander Ryder Brooks with a loud sacrifice to plate Mason Guerra and tie the game at 4-4. Then Gavin Turley followed with a double over the center field wall to put the Beavers back in front.
