On Saturday, the director of Baltimore Orioles, Brandon Hyde, hoping that a new leader can trigger a turnaround of the most disappointing team in the major baseball league.
Hyde, who had managed the Orioles until the end of their reconstruction and helped them lead them to the last two posts, supervised a disappointing beginning in which Baltimore went 15-28 and found himself at 10½ games behind the first New York Yankees in the East Division of the American League.

Among an underperforming offense, one of the worst employees of Baseball pitching and the intermediate defense, the Orioles regressed in all the facets of the match this season. Hyde, 51, entered the season with questions about her long -term future after Baltimore was swept away a series of jokers against Kansas City last year. In 2023, after a season in which they won an al-best 101 games, the Orioles were swept by Texas in the Division series.
The Director General of Orioles, Mike Elias, gave Hyde a vote of trust in early May, only to see Baltimore lose 10 of his next 13 games, including the last four. Beyond the Gunnar Henderson Gunnar Center, the Defender of the Cedric Mullins Center and the first basic player Ryan O’Hearn, the Orioles received limited offensive help, and injuries to the interior field player Jordan Westburg and the Colton Cowser voltiseur tested their range.
Titching in particular has been disastrous. With a thin rotation and injuries to right -handers Grayson Rodriguez and Zach Eflin, the Orioles display an ERA of 5.33, the worst of the AL and the third worst of MLB.
