The first look at Dexter: Original Sin arrived.

Photos from the next one Dexter The prequels were released Thursday, introducing audiences to the Morgan family — including Christian Slater as Harry Morgan, Patrick Gibson as Dexter Morgan and Molly Brown as Debra Morgan.

One of the photos, embedded as the first photo below, is particularly disturbing because it appears to show Dexter Gibson in the act of killing. The others are seemingly harmless, including a photo of Dexter and Harry in the kitchen, as well as another of Dexter deep in thought (shown above).

Dexter: Original Sin takes place 15 years before the events of the flagship series. Set in Miami in 1991, the 10-episode series follows Dexter (Gibson) as he goes from college student to vengeful serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Slater), he adopts a code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without appearing on law enforcement’s radar. It’s a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship with the Miami Metropolitan Police Department.

Additional cast includes Patrick Dempsey as Aaron Spencer, James Martinez as Angel Batista, Christina Milian as Maria LaGuerta, Alex Shimizu as Vince Masuka, Reno Wilson as Bobby Watt and special guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar as Tanya Martin.

Dexter: Original Sin The series is executive produced by showrunner Clyde Phillips and produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios. Executive producers also include Scott Reynolds, Michael C. Hall, Mary Leah Sutton, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, with the series also produced by Robert Lloyd Lewis. Michael Lehmann is the executive producer.
