Orange County All-Star Baseball Game to be held May 29 – Orange County Register

The Orange County All-Star baseball game will be played May 29 at Great Park in Irvine.

This is the first year the game has been played at Great Park after being played at Glover Stadium for most years.

The nine-inning game begins at 6:30 p.m.

The game was first played in 1968. Former players include Hall of Fame inductees Bert Blyleven (Santiago High School) and Gary Carter (Sunny Hills). Current MLB players who have played in the game include Griffin Canning (Santa Margarita) and Patrick Sandoval (Mission Viejo) of the Angels and Freddie Freeman (El Modena) of the Dodgers.

Admission is $15, payable by cash or Venmo. The game will be managed and organized for the first time by the Ryan Lemmon Foundation.

The Kiwanis Club of Greater Anaheim had been in charge of the game for many years, but was unable to continue doing so this year. So the Ryan Lemmon Foundation came forward to ensure the game continues.
