OPM seems to cancel the sole-source price for the HR Cloud system
Barely a week ago, OPM said that the price of the only source in Workday was urgently necessary due to a “systemic failure” in its HR infrastructure.

The personnel management office seems to resume the surprise contract on the single source contract which it only did a week ago for the HR information technology services.
On Friday, OPM published a notice of a sentence on Sam.gov saying that the justification and approval which he had published a week earlier, explaining his reward without bicycle in Workday, was “canceled in its entirety”.
OPM and Workday spokesperson did not immediately respond to requests for information from the Federal News Network, and the reasons for the cancellation of the justification document was not immediately clear. He also did not know if the government completely cancels the stock market of $ 342,200, or simply the approval document which allowed the contract to progress without a competitive tender process. However, federal pastor experts said that the agency would not be able to carry out the sentence without justification and documented approval.
In this now charged document, the office said that it intended to use the company’s cloud-based platform for the “end-to-end HR cycle support”, including the treatment of staff recordings, time monitoring and attendance, recruitment and many other functions that are currently managed by OPM internal systems.
But officials said that these internal resources – and the staff who use them – are tense by a “systemic breakdown” in the agency’s HR infrastructure.
“These challenges are still aggravated by the freezing memorandum with presidential hiring, reforming the process of federal hiring and restoring the merit of the memorandum of government services and implementing the submission of the President of the Department of Government Effectiveness, the Merit -based Shack Plan within 120 days and the limits of new recruits in a RATO of 4: More, an increased retirement due to the federal reductions in the workforce exerts pressure on the POPP retirement system, a process which normally takes 3 to 5 months, a problem that an integrated system will help to solve. “
The OPM had declared that in addition to the emergency caused by “systemic failure” of its infrastructure, the price was to be made without competition because a complete tender process would delay the price of six to nine months.
John Weiler, the co-founder of the Information Technologies Advisory Council, has challenged who considers the calendar.
“The OPM should start again with an analysis of alternatives and market studies that should not take eight months-they could do it in four months,” he said. “If they had spent their time wisely preparing a legitimate competitive contract compared to wasting their time to justify a single source, we could have had a legitimate price now. They could have ended up with the same result.”
