While US stock trading is underway, major indices are opening lower. The Dow Jones industrial average continues to be the weakest. Since the high of 40,003 eight trading days ago, sellers have driven the price lower and lower. Today’s low price reached 38,068, almost 2,000 points lower. This represents a decline of more than 4.6% from the all-time closing high.
