OPENAI is launching a program, OpenAI for countries, which, according to the company, will allow it to develop the local infrastructure necessary to better serve international AI customers.

As part of the new program, OPENAI will associate itself with governments to help efforts such as strengthening the capacity of the data center and the personalization of OPENAI products, including ChatPPT, for specific languages and local needs.

Program financing will come from Openai as well as governments of each country, according to the startup. The objective is to continue 10 international projects to start, but Openai has not yet said where they will be located.

Openai said he hoped to “spread democratic AI”. This essentially means that he wants to convince other countries to use Western IA models – OPENAI in particular – instead of Chinese competitors.

According to Bloomberg, Openai for countries is intended to complete the push of the company’s AI data center, Project Stargate, which should extend beyond US Openai for countries can rely on the infrastructure of Stargate, for example, or perhaps even the financing of Stargate investors.
