World number, Aryna Sabalenka got closer to a first title of Open from France by released the quadruple Iga Swiatek champion in the successful semi-finals.
Sabalenka du Bélarus won a 7-6 victory (7-1) 4-6 6-0 to end the 26 games of the fifth head of 26 games at the tournament.
After a slow start on the Roland Garros clay, Poland’s Swiatek retaliated at the level, but Sabalenka dominated a decisive whole of 24 minutes.
Sabalenka, whose three Grand Slam titles have all come on hard shorts, never reached the Paris final before.
“It’s incredible but the work is not yet done. I am delighted with my performance,” said the 27 -year -old.
“IGA is the toughest opponent, especially in Roland Garros, I am proud to have managed to obtain this victory.”
Top Seed Sabalenka will face either the second American seeded Coco Gauff or the Wildcard French Lois Boisson during the final on Saturday.
Gauff, a finalist in 2022, is the big favorite against drink, which started the event classified 361st in the world and appears in its first main print of the Grand Slam.
