Only a selected number of cinema theaters has the ability to display the latest film by Ryan Coogler “Sinners” as the director wanted.
The horror film of the period featuring Michael B. Jordan was shot with Imax cinema cameras, presented as the highest resolution cameras available, to create a unique cinema experience.
“I am really excited to announce that” Sinners “was captured on the film as a format of which I fell in love when I was at the film school,” said coogler in a Youtube video of April 8 with Kodak.
Coogler had not considered using an imAX film in large format for “sinners” – a film on twin brothers dealing with a vampire infestation in a small town in Mississippi – until a frame of Warner Bros. The doing with him, reported the Associated Press.
“Nowadays, people who have so much access to streaming and look at so many things on their phones, it is pleasant to have a format like Imax which can be an experience that you can only live in theaters,” said coogulate in an interview with the AP.
Eight American theaters will show “sinners” in Imax 70 mm and seven others will show “sinners” Imax with laser locations with 1.43 sequences, shared Imax.
What is so special about the 70 mm film?
70 mm films have more details, color and depth than most other modern films, wrote the UK Science and Media Museum when the “Oppenheimer” by Christopher Nolan, which was also displayed in 70 mm projections.
“70 mm is an essential experience for moviegoers,” wrote the museum at the time. “This is the quality that digital worked has worked.”
