Only 46% of 2020 voters say Joe Biden would win the vote today

Only 46% of voters in 2020 say President Joe Biden would win their vote today, according to an I & I / TIPP poll on Saturday.

“If the presidential election was held today and the following were the candidates, who would you vote for? the poll asked respondents, who were given the following choices: “Donald Trump, Republican,” “Joe Biden, Democrat,” “Other,” “I don’t know,” and “I’d rather not answer.”

Only 46% of those who voted in November 2020 said Biden would be their preferred candidate today, five points lower than his official total share of 51.3% in the 2020 presidential election.

The poll also found that 49% of women would vote for Biden today, up from 57% in November 2020.

Perhaps most interestingly, Biden also lost support from “moderates,” dropping from 56% to 47%. And among those earning between $ 50,000 and $ 75,000 who were probably the most affected by Biden’s inflation, Biden lost ten points (54% to 44%).

Biden has also sunk among Democrats, as 88% say they would vote for him now, with 93% saying they voted for him in November.

Among those with a college education, Biden’s support dropped eight points, from 52% to 44%. Among those with at least a bachelor’s degree, Biden also lost 5 points (55% to 50%).

The survey sampled 1,305 adults from September 1-3 with a margin of error of 2.8 points.
