One of the three North Korean brigades in the Kursk region completely destroyed – Zelensky

The president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky declared it in an interview with the Associated Press, as reported by Ukrinform.

“We have seen three brigades of North Koreans, one of which was destroyed. The other two suffered losses, although I did not know the exact figures. Today, they were not sent to assaults.

The Ukrainian president noted that North Korea had lost around 4,000 people in the Kursk region. In total, Pyongyang deployed around 12,000 soldiers to fight in the Russian war against Ukraine.

Zelensky added that on January 31, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a central enemy command post in the Kursk region, leading to the death of Russian and North Korean officers. He stressed that it was a legitimate military target, struck by a missile strike and various types of weapons. He estimated that dozens of enemy officers were eliminated.

Earlier, Ukraine’s special forces confirmed that the North Korean troops of the Kursk region were in the process of being withdrawn.

According to Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defense Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, the North Korean troops fighting on the Russian side undergoing rotations due to loss of important personnel.
