One of the most expensive items at high-end Los Angeles grocery store Erewhon

  • TikToker Lizzie Dushaj bought the expensive item
  • Erewhon is a Los Angeles store known for its expensive groceries

A TikToker may have just found the most ridiculously priced item at Los Angeles celebrity-favorite grocery store Erewhon — and it’s not Hailey Beiber’s smoothie.

Lizzie Dushaj, a young influencer, decided to buy a bag of special cocktail ice for almost $30 at a luxury grocery store to test if it really works yesterday.

The ice balls were ‘made’ by Penny Pound Ice and are described as ‘a stylish solution to keeping your drinks cold without diluting the flavour’.

According to the store, the ice balls melt more slowly than traditional ice cubes and can be used for alcohol and iced coffees.

After seeing the miraculous ice creams in the store, Dushaj brought a bag home and decided to test if they melted slower than regular cubes in alcohol.

In her first TikTok video, she can be heard telling viewers that the balls also become crystal clear when submerged in water.

Dushaj is seen taking one of the scoops of ice cream out of the bag and performing a ‘taste test’.

In another video, the TikToker tests how long it takes ice balls to melt by dropping them into a glass of whiskey and to see if that changes the taste of the hard liquor.

Dushaj quickly takes a sip of “neat” whiskey poured from a glass and reports a bitter taste.

She then adds a scoop of ice to another glass of the same whiskey and takes a sip.

The influencer, who says she has never drunk hard alcohol before, said the glass with the scoop of ice cream was “slightly better”.

Dushaj viewers also quickly joined in the joke and started commenting on other things that resemble artisanal rice.

One user wrote: “It’s the equivalent of having premium air in your tires.”

While another joked: “Is this free range organic and gluten free?!?”

One user also commented: “‘tastes like water’ girl, this is amazing.”

Another also blasted the grocery store and said, “Erewohn was really selling snow during a snowstorm.”
