The Ukrainian forces have pushed a massive Russian assault in the south, eliminating 140 soldiers, destroying 29 pieces of military equipment and damaging three tanks, reported the defense forces of the South.
A video of the commitment was published on Thursday, April 17 via Telegram with legend: “On April 16, around 6:00 pm in the south of Ukraine, the enemy changed tactics and began assault operations in coordinated units.”

The images capture the key moments of the defeat of the assault – Ukrainian aerial recognition and artillery targeting Russian forces, followed by multiple explosions and swollen clouds. However, the Kyiv post was unable to check the time and location of the registration independently.
According to the report, the Russian aggression group involved at least 320 staff members, 40 armored combat vehicles, three tanks and a dozen strollers.
The attack occurred near the colonies of Pyatikhatky, Stepove, Lobkove, Mala Tokmachka and Mali Shcherbaky.
Russian troops of several regiments of the 58th army combined with weapons of the southern military district would have been involved.
Ukrainian air recognition, however, identified advanced Russians, and drone and artillery units launched strikes. The first Russian losses – three infantry combat vehicles (BMP) – would have taken place 8 kilometers before the combat contact line.

The Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industries mentioned the new drone missile passing through a recent comment – and it seems that it is developed not by the government, but in private.
The battle lasted more than two and a half hours, the Ukrainian forces inflicting fire damage on the assault combatants.
“Enemy losses: 29 units of destroyed military equipment, 140 people, three damaged tanks.” The report reads “the enemy has managed to succeed and the Ukrainian defense forces have occupied all their positions.”
Sergeant Junior Stanislav Bunyatov of the 24th Assault Battalion Aidar wrote on Telegram:
“Rusnya (a derogatory Ukrainian slang term used to designate Russian forces or Russians in general) led one of the greatest offensives. They tried to unravel the defense west of Orikhiv … Most of them were eliminated. “
In the commentary section, Bunyatov responded to his subscribers by highlighting the large number of infantry involved in the assault: “More than 300 soldiers – as a comparison, the North Koreans (in the Kursk Oblast) simply operated in the fields in groups of 30 to 40 years.”

The success report in the South is the last of a series of successes on the battlefield for the Ukrainian forces.
On April 14, the separate presidential brigade of Ukraine published images showing soldiers from the 3rd mechanized battalion destroying around 20 Russian motorcycles and more than 20 armored vehicles, including tanks and BMPs, as well as dozens of weapons and military equipment.
This Russian assault would have started with a motorcycle push, which was quickly neutralized by first -person drones (FPV).
A second wave followed with three mechanized columns, but these were also destroyed by units of Ukrainian drones and troops of the 31st brigade.
Ukrainian forces estimated that up to 200 Russian troops were eliminated. The exact location of the attack has not been disclosed.
In early April, Ukrainian forces pushed a large Russian assault near the village of Andriivka in the Donetsk region, about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) south of Bakhmut. On April 3, two Russian platoons with 19 armored vehicles tried to unravel the Ukrainian lines.
Ukrainian air recognition detected the column early. The artillery hit the lead vehicle, stopping the advance. The Russian troops withdrew in a field, where they were targeted by artillery, drones and maturity at maturity.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the tactical group “Vuhledar” confirmed that 12 Russian armored vehicles were destroyed or damaged. The losses of staff remain vague: official sources have reported 18 killed and 7 injured, while other reports suggest that up to 60 Russian troops have been killed.
Images of the battle were published by military journalist Andriy Tsaplienko, who described the assault.
