One man dead, two others injured in shooting in Pittsburgh metro area

One man is dead and two others were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.

Police responded to the 400 block of State Street in Clairton at 3:57 a.m. after receiving a report of a “large disturbance” and found “numerous individuals” fighting in the street, according to the Allegheny County Police Department. Multiple police agencies responded to the scene to assist.

Around 4:10 a.m., several shots were fired into the crowd, according to Allegheny police. One person was arrested at the scene. No details have been released about the suspect.

A man was killed in the shooting. The victim fled the scene in a car that crashed into State Street before dying, police said.

Two men were injured, one in the arm and the other in the leg. Both were taken to nearby hospitals and their condition is stable, according to police.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
