It was almost an impossible mission, but “Lilo & Stitch” and “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” joined forces to do the Magnitural of the Memorial Day box office of all time last weekend.
To celebrate, Tom Cruise shared a message to all the people involved in the cinema process – without naming the remake of Disney Live -Action by name – as well as theater workers and fans.
“This weekend was one for history books!” The actor wrote on social networks. “Congratulations and thank you to each filmmaker, to each artist, to each crew member and to each person working in the studios. To each theater and to each employee who helps bring these stories to the public, thank you.”
“For all those who work at Paramount Pictures and Skydance, thank you for your many years of unwavering partnership and support,” added Cruise. “And above all, thank you to the public everywhere – for whom we all serve and for whom we all like to entertain.”
