We are only three weeks old to start discovering who will be in the next recruits class to put on the uniforms of Seattle Seahawks.
Salk: What the Seattle Seahawks should be written for this year
The draft of the NFL begins on April 24 in Green Bay, WISC., And many eyes will be on the Seahawks while they hold five choices in the Top 92. In particular, those who look will follow closely to see how Seattle meets its needs on the offensive line.
The Seahawks could go after an O-Lineman with the 18th choice in the general classification in the first round, but they could go elsewhere and address the trenches later.
During his return to Brock and Salk on Thursday, the initiate of the NFL Network, Daniel Jeremiah, shared some offensive line players that the Seahawks could target after the first round of the draft. This came with a warning, however, while the Fox Football analyst and the former quarter of the NFL Brock Huard shared what he hears that Seattle is suitable in an offensive line player.
“By discussing a little with people around there … They say:” Hey, speed in the first step is a priority. “It is a premium if you are going to execute this type of zone blocking scheme,” said Huard.
With the speed in the first stage in mind, Jeremiah underlined the center of the USC Jonah Monheim, the state -of -the -art guardian Donovan Jackson and the state -of -the -art guardian Joshua Gray.
Monheim was a four -year start to the USC which transitioned from one tackle to another last season. He also played a guard of Trojan horses. The 6 feet 4, 307 pounds made 46 departures combined from university and was a selection of the third All-Big Ten team last season.

“Now his problem has been a bit of strength,” said Jeremiah. “But (if) you just talk about the speed of the first step, can you go out and move? It is exceptional with that, and it is really, really intelligent in addition. It is more like the third, the type of fourth round.”
Jackson, an old five-star recruit of 6-4 and 315 pounds, helped Buckeyes win the national title while winning the honors of the second All-America team last season. The triple winner of the All-Big Ten has played left guard throughout his university career, but expelled the left tackle for nine games for Ohio State in 2024. He also has a rich experience, starting 40 games in the past three academic seasons.
“I think Donovan Jackson plays with the speed of Ohio State,” said Jeremiah. “He’s my 41st player. I think he’s going to go to the second round, probably half of the second round would be my supposition.”
Gray was an All-PAC-12 selection twice before the conference contains a massive exodus. He started 56 games at the five -season program record with the Beavers. On the 6th feet 5 inches, 299 pounds granted only one bag and committed only one penalty in 12 games after spending from the left tackle to the left guard last season.
“Joshua Gray de l’Oregon State is someone who can really move, has excellent speed, is a good football player,” said Jeremiah, who noted Gray as a probable choice of fourth round. “You just try to get around the (lack of) length.”
The director general and president of football operations, John Schneider, has a history of commerce in or outside the first round during his mandate with the Seahawks. Recently, Bill Barnwell of ESPN offered a business that passed his first round to the Browns in Cleveland for goalkeeper Wyatt Teller, a second round choice and a third round.

Jeremiah said he had to give a look at Teller’s recent piece to judge the viability of the proposal, but he made the idea of getting more choices on the second day of the draft.
“I think it’s a bit of Sweet Spot for this project,” said Jeremiah.
Jeremiah said it was due to the lack of high -end talents in this year’s draft, which led to a great disparity in the way the teams see some players.
“You can talk to a team and it’s as if this guy will go in the 1950s, and you are talking to another team and (that said) this (even) guys will go in adolescence,” he said. “It’s the range. It’s everywhere on the map.”
How rare is it?
“I would say that it has become more common in recent years … But this year, they are at low level (players this year),” said Jeremiah. “As on our rating scale (nfl.com), in the past years, we could have more like 6.4, 6.5, 6.7 type, and there are similarities with certain teams. And this year, it’s as if all the draft was full of 6.3, who are like traditional players of the second round type.”
