The Olivier Awards 2025, held on Sunday at the Royal Albert Hall in London and organized by Beverley Knight and Billy Porter, saw big victories for actors like John Lithgow, Lesley Manville and Imelda Staunton. Receive three awards each, the productions of The curious case of Benjamin Button,, Fiddler on the roof And Giant also swept during the evening.
The event is internationally recognized as the highest honors of the British theater and celebrates the main performances on stage, the equivalent abroad of the US Tony Awards.
Additional winners included productions Oedipus, titanic, the years And FestiveWho have all won two awards each.
The ceremony opened its doors with a performance as a show of “Luck Be a Dame” of Guy and dolls by Knight and Porter hosts, accompanied by the Choir of the Gospel of the House. Additional performance throughout the evening included extracts from The curious case of Benjamin Button,, MJ the musical,, Natasha, Pierre and the great comet of 1812 And Why am I so single?in addition to Fiddler on the roof,, Oliver! And Starlight Express. There was also a special 40th anniversary performance of The miserable.
