Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes could be baseball’s answer to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift — and the LSU gymnast and TikTok star clearly doesn’t mind the comparisons.

Skenes made a strong first impression in his MLB debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday, striking out seven batters as his team beat the Chicago Cubs 10-9.

Dunne was cheering him on from the stands and on Sunday evening shared new photos of the pair celebrating winning their first match.

“Bravo Bucco,” she wrote in the caption.

The 21-year-old liked several comments under the photos, including one from a fan who read: “Wag era loading you’re a mini Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.”

MLB itself only seems happy to have Dunne, who attracts millions of followers on his social media, at games.

On TikTok, MLB shared a video of Dunne discussing his nerves watching Skenes play with the caption: “Livvy Dunne enters her MLB WAG era.”

Dunne is currently thinking about what’s next for him. A gymnast at LSU, she has the option to return to college for another year.

Skenes, meanwhile, seems at home in MLB.

The pitcher, the first overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, showed why he is widely considered perhaps the best pitching prospect of a generation.

He was greeted with a standing ovation from most of the near-capacity crowd in Pittsburgh, including his girlfriend, and hit 100 mph on 17 of his 84 pitches.

During Round 3, the LSU gymnastics star — dressed in a custom Skenes jacket — was interviewed live by Sportsnet Pittsburgh, and she was full of admiration for her other half.

“I had a little bit of nervousness at first, but I kind of channeled it into excitement rather than nervousness, and I just have the most confidence in him,” she began. “I just trust him and what he put in, and I’m so excited.

“It’s amazing, the support here is great. Pittsburgh has been so welcoming. I just see people wearing Air Force stuff, LSU stuff, Skenes jerseys.

Opening up about when Skenes got the call to join the Pirates in the majors, Dunne added: “All I can say is I think it’s the quickest game I’ve ever played. I’ve never realized in my life.

“We woke up from a nap, he had a few missed calls and he got called. He said to me: “Let’s pack our bags” and then we hit the road. It was very exciting!

“I have so many incredible memories with him, but I know how hard he worked for this moment. It’s probably one of my favorite moments I’ve ever seen, seriously, there’s nothing that can top that. I’m so proud!

Dunne and Skenes went public with their relationship in August last year.

All being well, Skenes will be back in action for the Pirates on Thursday in a return game against the Cubs in Chicago.
