Fury regularly criticized the champion as their rivalry appeared to become personal, including mocking him for his size and calling his compatriot a “rabbit.”

He has since changed his position, but Usyk didn’t let them lie.

During an interview in October 2023 as negotiations over a fight rumbled, he jokingly began chattering in a British accent, before shouting: “Rabbit, bitch, light heavyweight, middleweight.”

Usyk also added: “Tyson Fury, he’s a good family man, but if you turn on the TV or a camera, it’s a change. Like an alien, you know?”

Fans were quick to react to the resurfaced clip, writing: “Is this really real? Wow, Usyk is hilarious.”

Another agreed: “I laughed a lot when he talked about light heavyweight. That’s so accurate.”

One remarked: “When you go on camera and perform, you have to be an artist, he understands that.

“But when it’s not time to entertain, he understands that too.”

One viewer suggested: “Funny and true. He tells facts. »

One Fury fan even said: “I can’t help but love this guy, I’ve always supported Tyson so I’ll watch conflicted.”

One end user even joked: “I don’t know why he’s doing Ukrainian accents, this guy is from Bolton.”

Fury found himself embroiled in a more heated argument with Usyk during their first confrontation at a press conference.

The WBC champion is known for pulling comedic stunts against his opponent, including using crutches during the early stages of fight week.

Although he regularly insulted Usyk, he has since admitted some respect, insisting it was his toughest opponent to date.

“I think he’s the best opponent I’ve ever faced,” Fury told DAZN.

“Because I’ve fought world heavyweight champions before, people who were undefeated before. I’ve fought an Olympic gold medalist before, but I’ve never fought a two-weight world champion.

“So I think that puts him above everything else.”
