Under the head coach KJ Kindler, Oklahoma won seven national female gymnastics championships. The Sooners previously finished first in 2023, 2022, 2019, 2017, 2017, 2016 and 2014. (Kindler’s Squad was also the national finalist in 2010, 2013, 2018 and 2021.)
The competition did not have an apparent favorite after the seeded n ° 1 and the national reigning champion LSU was eliminated by the UCLA on Thursday. Let us go to the recognition of the name, the UCLA with the star of the Olympic Games of the American team Jordan Chiles may have been favored by viewers without attachment to the four schools in competition.
But on the basis of sowing, Oklahoma n ° 2 looked like the forerunner before Utah n ° 4, Bruins n ° 5 and Missouri n ° 7 for the competition on Saturday in Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, in Texas.

Chiles had a strong performance with her floor exercise, an event in which she generally excels. On Saturday, she marked a 9,9750, which gave the UCLA a share of the advance at the start of the competition.
As the winner of the individual bars of unequal bars on Thursday, it was probably not a surprise that Chiles also experienced an excellent performance in the event on Saturday, ending with a 9.9625 to give the UCLA a victory in this event.
However, Torrez scored a 9.9375 on his safe, which helped the Sooners finish first in the general classification of the event and put them in a position to exceed the final classification. This had to be particularly soft for Oklahoma, which lost in last year’s semi-finals with its performance in Vault.
