Ohio State steals DeVonta Smith TD game from ’20 Alabama title for Jeremiah Smith’s score against Notre Dame

Ohio State needed an answer after a nice opening for Notre Dameto finally make their wish come true. Will Howard connected with Jeremiah Smith for the touchdown, tying the game at seven. And if Ohio State fans think they’ve seen this play before, that’s because they have.

Smith started on the left side of the formation, but when the ball was snapped he worked in the backfield. The freshman receiver then braked and returned to the field. Howard then made a wide-open throw as Smith entered the end zone untouched.

This is one Ohio State has seen play against them since the start of the 2020 national championship game. But MacJones And DeVonta Smith of Alabama were the ones enjoying the touchdown, not the Buckeyes.
