Betfair odds have revealed that Norwich could return in the opposite direction by the end of play in the 2022/23 season.

Norwich finished dead last in the Premier League and continually yo-yo between the top flight and the Championship.

Many of their stars could walk away from the side, with some set to pursue the promotion having only signed last summer.

They are favored just ahead of relegated compatriots Watford, who have really struggled in the Premier League after getting off to a relatively good start.

Burnley, who will be managed by Vincent Kompany, are 7/2, only sixth on the list of favorites to move up and in typical Championship style anything can happen with such an open market.

Birmingham have been flirting with relegation for a few seasons now and face a huge uphill battle to stay in contention and would have actually gone down had it not been for the point deductions.

One of those teams that had a points deduction last season is another favorite to go down and it was Reading who narrowly escaped going down after a nightmarish season.

The Royals are facing a transfer embargo and have had to cut their salaries drastically.

The club will rely on youngsters and those on loan or on free for a season, making them even more vulnerable to a difficult 46 games.

Promotion Ligue 1

Sheffield Wednesday were also close to securing promotion last season and remain firmly in contention to continue that with another bold offer in the 2022/23 League One campaign.

Derby endured a turbulent season and did their best to escape an almost impossible safety task in the Championship facing a 21 point deduction and relying on a mix of experienced players and young players making their senior debuts .

Rooney gave a rallying call to a group of supporters after his side were relegated and showed what the club means to him ahead of next season.

Their resilience on many occasions and with plenty of potential in League 1, they are only third favorites ahead of Barnsley at Peterborough.

Ipswich remain this season’s heavy favorites, however, despite finishing 11th at the end of 2022.

But as with all seasons, marquee signings and departures could make all the difference.
