Oasis star Noel Gallagher banged by Ruben Dias’ father during Manchester City title celebrations

Former Oasis rock star Noel Gallagher received stitches in the face after he was accidentally punched in the head by Ruben Dias’ father as the couple celebrated Manchester City’s thrilling comeback to clinch the title Premier League on Sunday.

The musician and City fan said he was ‘covered in blood’ moments after Pep Guardiola’s side battled Aston Villa 2-0 to win 3-2 at the Etihad in a final dramatic game of the season.

“As the third goal comes in, there’s an absolute ruckus…in the stadium we’re sitting in, Ruben Dias’ family are in the box, a few boxes up,” Gallagher told TalkSport.

“So I jump like an idiot, I pass my 11-year-old son like the Premier League trophy, everyone lifts him up. And I turn around and Ruben Dias’ dad rushes at me, headbutts me. I am on the ground covered in blood.

“I can’t see the last two minutes. I have to get taken down by St. John Ambulance and get stitched up. I have stitches on my upper lip, I have two black eyes.”

There were no marks on the City defender’s father Dias.

“He’s a big bear, he almost knocked my teeth out,” Gallagher said. “As I walk down the hall Pep runs crying and we hug and he says, ‘What’s up with your face?

“It looks like I got my head smashed. It’s unbelievable. A lot of City fans ask, ‘Are you okay? What happened?’ And I said, ‘You’ll never guess.'”
