OAKLAND – A 34 -year -old man was accused of having kidnapped an alleged sex worker in an area of great prostitution, an alleged crime witness of two local infiltration cops, according to the judicial archives.
Brandon Johnson filed a deposit of $ 100,000 for his prison release for kidnapping. He should appear in court at the end of May for a preliminary hearing.
An infiltration detail worked on the 800 Boulevard Bloc 800 block, monitoring suspected prostitution activities, when they spotted a Silver Mercedes in the early 2000s and the driver seems to be interested in a group of sex workers at the corner, according to the police. A man would then have jumped from the car, chased a young woman, threw her into the vehicle and left, when she cried, kicked and flourished.
The infiltrated cops broadcast the abduction suspected on a radio channel. Another officer found the Mercedes and arrested Johnson, the authorities said.
The incident occurred on April 16, about two weeks after Johnson was accused of second degree in an unrelated incident. He posted $ 50,000 for his release in this case. Johnson also has two previous convictions of flight, both from 2019, according to the criminal complaint.
The infiltration detail was there this night with the intention of locating the children victims of the trafficking in human beings, the authorities announced.
As a bailing condition on Johnson, he was sentenced to avoiding parties of Oakland known for prostitution, according to judicial files. Johnson pleaded not guilty.
