Oakland Man in charge of kidnapping and theft of “snitch”

OAKLAND – An Oakland man was accused of having kidnapping and stolen another man who was “cut” on the suspect, according to the judicial archives.

Andre Keithley, 59, was accused of kidnapping, diversion of car, assault with a firearm, residential flight and possession of a firearm by a criminal. All this stems from the same incident of March 8 where he would have forced the victim in his own house and took documents, car keys and a bag that the resident said was full of “playing money”, according to the judicial archives.

Keithley, who would also have been by Andre Tolliver, was apparently angry with the victim for having spoken to his conditional liberation agent of an earlier allegation of vandalism. The police say that when he spotted the man near his home on the 64th avenue, he shouted “you are a mosquito net” and hit him with a bruising object.

Keithley would then have forced the man to appear at his home under the threat of a firearm.

The police then found Keithley’s girlfriend, Larenza Hunter, 67, who told them that she had witnessed the event. She said that she was out with the alleged victim before Keithley, and that when she saw Keithley hit the man with a weapon, she assumed that the victim was “dead” and fled the region.

Later, Keithley would have said to him: “The less you know, the better”, according to the police. She denied having played a role in the incident or see Keithley with firearms, but the prosecutors accused Hunter of being an accessory after the fact, according to the judicial archives.

Keithley was found guilty of six flight chiefs in 2003, all from the same case, and is therefore not allowed to have firearms, according to the criminal complaint. He is detained without surety and must be the next one due in court for indictment on April 10, according to the files.

The authorities also move to revoke the conditional release of Keithley, according to the judicial archives.
