Oakland man charged with molesting 13-year-old he met on TikTok
OAKLAND — A local resident has been charged with six felonies for allegedly sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl he met on social media and brought to his home via a ride-sharing app, according to court records.
Nicholas Vollintine, 25, was charged with aggravated sexual abuse of a child, lewd act on a child and other sexual assault charges, all involving the same alleged incident. He is being held at Santa Rita Jail on $1.8 million bail, and a judge is scheduled to hear his request for bail reduction or release on April 26.
Oakland police say Vollintine met a 13-year-old girl through the video social media app TikTok and invited her to his Oakland home on 26th Street to watch Netflix. He allegedly called an Uber driver to pick up the girl, who lives in another part of the Bay Area.
The girl later reported that she had explicitly said no to Vollintine when he made a sexual advance towards her, but that she was afraid because it was dark, she did not know where she was and that she She feared what would happen if she tried to fight him. After committing six acts of sexual abuse in 90 minutes, Vollintine called an Uber driver to take the girl home, according to investigators.
The girl then confided in a trusted adult, who informed her family and called police, authorities said. Vollintine was arrested at his home two days after the alleged sexual abuse on February 26 and was charged in March. He has not yet entered a plea, according to court records.
