OAKLAND – An alleged member of the Gang Border Brothers was accused of having attacked an officer when entering his patrol car, according to the judicial archives.
Juan Lujan, 22, was accused of a chief of assault against a peace agent, arising from an incident of January 17 when he struck a motorcycle cop in Oakland, causing the fall of the officer’s motorcycle. Lujan was only accused after an incident on April 14, when a car container and another alleged gang partner struck a patrol officer, pinning the officer between the car and a parked vehicle, the authorities said.
Lujan was a passenger during the April 14 incident. The alleged driver has not yet been arrested or charged, according to legal files. The officer was briefly hospitalized for his injuries, the authorities said.
Lujan has not yet pleaded and bombarded with prison, according to the files. His next hearing date has been set for April 29.
During the January 17 incident, the police were investigating a car parked in an alley of the 77th avenue in East Oakland which seemed to correspond to the description of a vehicle which had recently escaped the police in a prosecution, the authorities announced in the judicial archives.
The parked car then rushed from the aisle, overthrowing the motorcycle officer in the process, the police said. The officers would have recognized Lujan.
The prosecutors charged Lujan on April 15, after being arrested, suspected of attempted murder in connection with April 14, according to the judicial archives.
Two days later, in an unrelated incident, another Oakland policeman was deliberately struck by a vehicle, while he was inside his patrol car, the authorities said. The suspect, a 25 -year -old man, struck an Oakland Housing Authority officer’s car, repelled it and rushed. The officer was investigating a suspicious complaint of people in the region.
The suspect has not yet been charged, according to the files.
